The Pairing Process
Our team of professionals are equipped with a student counsellor and HR consultant to assist in the vetting and pairing process. The pairing process commences with a comprehensive questionnaire (devised by our in-house counsellor and recruitment coordinator), followed by a virtual interview and then face-to-face interviews in Bordeaux and Melbourne. An important part of AIX's commitment to comprehensively vet students and ensure their safety, is our undertaking to travel to Bordeaux to conduct in-home interviews with host families. We take the same approach with our Australian participants. We cannot promise that the pairing will be perfect, but we are confident that the synergistic effort of our HR consultant, counsellor and experienced program managers will facilitate the best match possible.
Chaperoning and Safety
Our team will be present 24/7 to offer support and assistance to students and host families. We understand that being away from home in a foreign country may be daunting for students and the feeling of isolation may make them anxious. To ensure that students gain the most rewarding experience from the program, our in-house counsellor and student coordinators are committed to providing ongoing support, advice and care for all students.
Our commitment to safety incorporates a compulsory WWC of all household adults over 18 years old. AIX prioritises the safety and well-being of its students.
The AIX Experience
Culture
La Culture
Experiencing a foreign country propels students towards acceptance and understanding of a vastly different cultural perspective.
Bordeaux is a culturally rich environment, renowned for its history, architecture, wine and delicious cuisine.
Embracing a new and vibrant culture is a chance to step out of the student’s comfort zone and experience unfamiliar situations whilst being supported by a nurturing AIX support team.
Connection
Le Lien
Each student partaking in AIX's program has a unique opportunity to form relationships with their AIX counterpart and family, but also form a unique bond with other students partaking in the program.
Meeting new people provides an invaluable opportunity to develop new perspectives.
This program is certainly a personal development experience which will empower year 10 and 11 students to embrace challenges with confidence.
Language
La Langue
The best way to learn a new language is through a comprehensive and total immersion. Be prepared for your French language skills to improve in leaps and bounds!
A tremendous sense of accomplishment when mastering a new language encourages students to develop independent opinions, make informed decisions and strive to attain fresh goals.
