Australian International Exchange (AIX) is a not-for-profit, Government-approved organisation promoting French language and culture through international trips and community initiatives.

Our Experience
For almost a decade, we have run French exchanges for students from Melbourne schools, including Lauriston Girls’ School, Melbourne Grammar School, Mansfield Steiner School, Trinity Grammar School, Siena College, Genazzano FCJ College and Forest Hill College.

Our Trips
We offer 2-week guided tours of France for Year 10 and 11 students, based in Bordeaux with a short stay in Paris. Each weekday begins with French language and grammar classes tailored to VCE and IB, taught by a VCE and IB Head of Language teacher, followed by afternoon excursions exploring the region’s history, culture and daily life.

Safety and Support
We know that travelling to a new country can feel daunting, especially away from your usual support systems. AIX is registered with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) as a Student Exchange Organisation, and all of our staff hold current WWCCs. An AIX director and team members travel with every group and stay with students throughout the tour, so families and schools can feel confident that students are supported every step of the way.
